1974: Degree in Medicine and Surgery, University of Parma.
1977: Medical Speciality in Cardiology, University of Milan.
1984: Eligibility given by the Ministry to assume function as Head Consultant of Cardiology.
1989: Medical Speciality in Tisiology and respiratory diseases, University of Parma.
In 1985, 1987 and 1989 he completed three two-month internships in Cardiology Centres abroad (Nice and Monte Carlo).
Completed training courses in Structural Heart Intervention in London, Brussels and Frankfurt.
1975 – present: works in the Department of Cardiology at the Parma Hospital (substitute assistant, intern, visiting doctor and finally a standing assistant. Became a GP in June 1978).
1991: Medical deputy.
1991 – 2008: Fixed-term Lecturer of "Diagnostic angiography and invasive cardiological therapy" at the Postgraduate school of Cardiology, University of Parma.
1975 – 2007: Cardiologist in the Department of Cardiology at the Parma Hospital.
Level 1 Medical Assistant and Expert Case Manager until resignation (31 March 2007).
For many years, he was a member of the Laboratory team of Hemodynamics of the Department of Cardiology:
Invasive cardiac diagnostics and interventional cardiology
Invasive non-coronary diagnostics and treatment: percutaneous correction of septal defects and patent foramen ovale: completed over 300 cases.
In this area, he is currently an instructor to Colleagues (proctor) working at Saint Jude Medical Italy which markets the Amplatzer endoprosthesis.
Nowadays, he is a private cardiologist and provides cardiological consultation to adult patients, performs Holter monitor blood pressure tests and ECG (electrocardiography) tests, as well as cardiac stress tests.
